Ojai Valley Inn & Spa - Ojai, CA

I spent my summer of 2016 at the lovely resort, Ojai Valley Inn & Spa located in Ojai, California. Living on property and working 5 to 6 days each week, in a variety of different outlets, I learned a lot that summer. I started my internship on the savory side working at our adult pool kitchen, banquet kitchen and our two restaurants The Oak & Olivella. Each food outlet at Ojai Valley Inn & Spa was very different, ranging from casual to fine dining. I ended my internship in the pastry kitchen working early mornings directly with Ojai's talented pastry chef John Lacroix. Working in pastry was my favorite part of my Ojai experience, making bread, plated desserts, cakes and banquet desserts daily.
